By collaborating with the architect and builder, we work on every aspect of the design including lighting, cabinetry, millwork, material finishes, and furnishings to suit the taste of our clients.
Our hands-on approach means that we touch every aspect of a new home to ensure that our clients’ taste and desires are met. From initial drawings to project management to final installation, we offer meticulous attention to detail at every stage.
Renovations are all about transforming a house into a home that functions beautifully and honors the aesthetic preferences of its residents. Our design package is extensively detailed and includes both floorplans and 3D renderings to make collaborating with our clients a smooth and enjoyable experience.
In addition to construction design and management, we select furnishings, artwork, rugs, window treatments and decor to reflect your personality and lifestyle. Erica James Design handles all ordering and receiving and coordinates with movers and installers to ensure a smooth installation day.
The Process
To minimize surprises, our design fee is a flat rate for new construction, separate from the project's expenses. Of course, project expenses on renovations and new construction will vary greatly based on the level of finishing, with mid- to high-end finishes ranging from $250-$550 per square foot. For furnishing and decor only, we typically budget at least $100 per square foot. Transparency and open communication throughout our process ensures that the project budget is aligned with your vision from the very beginning.
